**I wrote this (luckily) on a word doc before my wireless network turned psycho on me and stopped working. This was written on October 31, 2008**
So after sitting here for an hour, contemplating about what to write for the ECM blog (and curling my hair at the same time), I still can’t think of anything to say. It’s not for a lack of activities because there’s something different going on everyday... I really don’t know what it is… Maybe I’m too excited about Hallowe’en. Or maybe it’s the amount of hairspray that I am currently breathing in. I don’t know. So I asked a dear friend of mine from the program (Her name starts with a D), what to do. She suggested that I do an entry on the ‘day in the life of’. So here’s last Tuesday:
06:00 am: My alarm goes off. I hit it a couple of time finally waking up at 6:30 am. I take a final look at our case analysis for Information Technology. Print it off and sprint to the bus stop from my house.
07:30 am: I take the first of my two daily naps on the bus. It takes me about an hour to get to school by bus. That’s pretty substantial nap time, I think.
08:30 am: I am now in our IT class. We are learning about how computers are simple machines that need people to program them to tell them what to do. I am waiting for our break to buy my daily coffee.
10:30 am: Class has now ended! Trevor, Alex and I headed off to the Village, so I can make some photocopies. I ended up buying a $15 copy card from Staples, which I only used $0.12 of. Now, I have $14.88 at Staples. Does anybody need any stationary?
We then had lunch at this Malaysian restaurant, where I entertained Trevor and Alex about how I wanted to be a princess and stories about my dogs. And Alex told me random facts about many different things…
2:00 pm: Headed off to Operations and Logistics. I think we learned about Little’s Law…. I had my second large coffee of the day.
4:00 pm: End of class but not going home just yet. Worked on Investment assignment with Riley and Danica.
6:00 pm: On the bus taking my second nap of the day, while going home. I believe I am managing my time very wisely, by sleeping on the bus. Although it is kind of gross, now that I think about it.
The rest of the evening was spent finishing up Investment and making plans for Hallowe’en (Yes the ECM still leaves time for socializing…).
This is my typical Tuesday (for the next 3 weeks or so anyway). If anyone needs anything from Staples, pleaseee let me know!
