After the completion of our first module I can safely say this program is not for the faint at heart. It is filled with ups and downs, turmoil and a serious lack of sleep. Nevertheless, I feel like I have actually learned something. I feel I am gaining the necessary skills that will make me an effective manager. While this leaves me with some sense of joy, what I like most about this program is the people, and there are some really amazing people. I have come to understand that it is the relationships you develop here that are so crucial.
This second module is full of group projects and amazingly long case studies. I hope to get the chance to work with everybody to see how people work and think and really get to know them. Creating an effective team is so important in the business world and getting along with people even more so. What I enjoy the most about group work is that the potential for creativity is endless. While at times there can be some miscommunication, there are nonetheless so many good ideas and inputs that small groups of brilliant ECM’ers can make magic happen. Out of this “synergy of minds” and brilliance, something new and exciting is created. That, my friends, is the real stuff. That is what this program is really all about.
